Bringing the funk and soul to stages across the US, The Motet is continuing their tour until August of this year (with more to come, hopefully)! The Denver, Colorado band symphonically assembles funk, soul, and jazz with a true sense of appreciation to their influences. With a talent-filled ensemble, The Motet provides a vibrant live performance that’s sure to move even the shyest of on-lookers at their shows.
You can rest with ease knowing that The Motet’s discography goes deep with eight studio albums, two live albums with one that was released in 2020, and a plethora of singles. Their most recent single is titled Breathe Deeper.
Our song of choice is Death or Devotion off of their album that carries the same title!
The band consists of Dave Watts (drummer/bandleader), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), Garrett Sayers (bass), Joey Porter (keyboards), and Drew Sayers (saxophone) with experience performing and creating music since 1998. With appearances at huge festivals like Bonnarroo and the Electric Forest Festival, The Motet is a veteran squad of extremely talented musicians.
